Is death the end . . . or only the beginning?

Ethan Wate always dreamed of leaving the stifling Southern town of Gatlin.

But he never dreamt that finding love with Lena Duchannes would drive him away. Lena is a Caster girl whose supernatural powers unveiled a secretive and cursed side of Gatlin, so powerful it forced him to make a terrible sacrifice.

Now Ethan must find a way to return to Lena – and Gatlin – as she vows to do whatever it takes to get him back. Even if it means trusting old enemies or risking their loved ones’ lives.

Can Ethan and Lena rewrite their fate and their spellbinding love story in this stunning finale to the Beautiful Creatures series?

My Rating and General Opinion

A bittersweet ending for a bittersweet end of the series.

I am not as disappointed as I was with the last one, but still there can be found some things missing and some inconsistencies storywise.

The Writing

Apparently they cannot write a good fighting or action blowup, because even if the first two books had it, the last two were lacking of one of those, and that’s such a shame…

The Story

I see this series and especially this book as a “Silver Linings” book. it ends in a positive and “happier” mood.

Even if it ends in a happier mood there are so many things left in the open, that given the way the story unfolded, it could have gone on for at least one more book. The Keepers… there could really have been such a juicy story, definitely more than what they use for this last installment. And what happens now that a very important character regarding to those is no more?? A lot of questions… that’s what I ended up with, a lot of questions.

The Characters

I’m still giving it a good grade because of Ethan. Not only him, but mostly him yes. Such a positive guy and he did have something especial, something that made me wanna know more about him, and I enjoyed everything he said or think, quite normal, interesting and funny guy. I am glad it ended up OK for him, even after all he lost in the way…
